Beautiful Jewellery
Marcasite has a long beautiful history as a crafted mineral. Throughout time, Marcasite was shaped into stunning objects and jewellery.
The Ancient Greeks made jewellery from marcasite. The Incas of South America polished large slabs of it as decorative objects. Gem cutters in the Victorian Era faceted this material into stones with flat backs.
We are extremely excited and proud to present our collection to you.

A bit about Marcasite

Cleaning your Marcasite jewellery
Cleaning your jewellery is simple.
1. Fill a bowl with warm water and liquid soap
2. Let your jewellery soak in it fo 10 minutes.
3. Gently rub with a soft toothbrush (very gently!)
4. Rub dry with a silver cloth.

Make a statement with Marcasite!
Coordinating your jewelry with your outfit lets you show off your personality. And your style!
Layer a marcasite pendant over a little black dress for instant glamour.
Treat yourself to a manicure and highlight your beautiful nails with a statement ring in marcasite and onyx, carnelian or mother of pearl perhaps.
Avoid pairing statement necklaces with similar earrings. Statement earrings work best with short hair or pulled back off your face. Exquisite Marcasite earrings need to be seen.
Marcasite jewellery adds a touch of sparkle and intrigue to your look. From Goth to boho, elegant to vintage, you'll find a piece that suits your style.

Did you know?
Starting from the late 1830s to the early 1900s, Britain was under the rule of Queen Victoria. Her reign also ignited interest in marcasite jewellery. After the death of her husband, Prince Albert, in 1861, Queen Victoria mourned his death until she passed away in 1901. She requested her entire court to wear black for the mourning period of 2 years and she herself dressed as a widow.
Etiquette during times of grief was strict, and to adhere to it the Queen began wearing marcasite jewellery. During her reign, mourning etiquette was all the rage and following her new choice in jewellery, marcasite once again became a fashionable attire choice.
